Do we tell a child how high she has jumped or do we help her to jump higher?

  1. If we are measuring a child's jump, we are obligated to tell her how she did and ask her if she thinks she can do better a second try. First tries at most things are never great successes, but they are indicators for future achievement. She may improve on the second try and even share how she did it with others who want to jump or jump higher!
