Child Friendly Quality Indicators Workshop

A training workshop for stakeholders of the Ministry of Education was held on the 14th of February 2011 at Education Development Centre meeting room. The objective of the workshop is to introduce the use of child friendly quality indicators for stakeholders of the Ministry of Education. Participants from EDC, FE, ESQID and Planning Section attended the training.

  1. Can we also know what the 'indicators of the BARAABARU' school are? As PTA members we have an interest to know that our child's school is capable of acheiving that 'quality'.
Have u thought about publishing the results of such schools that are actually performing to this standard? It might b an incentive for schools to acheive those indicators.
Or is the follow up forgotten after the last cup of tea was drunk on the way out of the w/shop?

  2. Yes, all stakeholders can access the "Baraabaru School Quality Indicators". Please go to site, and under 'publications" select "INTRODUCTION TO QUALITY INDICATORS."
Publishing school results will be done at the school level, regional level and central level. There has not yet been decided an exact start date for publications of results.
Yes, schools' results will be an incentive. Furthermore, the hope is that all Maldivian schools will move towards being a "model" school with "achieved" ratings!
